Some drivers just impress fans by there incredible skill and ability to handle the cars the way that they do.
There are several different types of motorsport, which makes it difficult to come up with a list of the very best drivers. Each class and type have their own challenges. We have however tried to come up with a comprehensive list of the very best racing drivers of all time.
Prost is also called The Professor and is a French F1 driver. He’s had many feats, including four F1 championships, and a staggering 51 Grand Prix wins. His racing career started at 14 when he started kart racing. The rest, as they say, is history.
Anthony Joseph Foyt
The American driver is also known as Super Tex did not focus on a single discipline, but rather raced in several classes and types during his career. One of his most impressive achievements is the fact that he won the USAC Career 159 times.
Senna is a Brazilian Formula 1 driver who is also known as Beco. He managed to get a staggering 65 pole positions during the entirety of his career, amplifying the fact that he was a true racer. He also won the F1 World Championships three times.
The second American on the list, Earnhardt is also known as The Intimidator. He made his name driving stock car races and participating in NASCAR tournaments. He retired in 2001 with a whopping 7 NASCAR Winston Sprint Cup Championship titles to his name.
Going back to the UK, we have none other than Jim Clark who was also known as the Flying Scot. Even though Clark is only known for his achievements in Formula 1 racing, he was known for his amazing ability to race any car. He has won two F1 Championships.

And we’re back in South America with the Argentine who is also better known as El Maestro. Fangio currently holds the record of the biggest percentage of wins and podium positions. Astonishingly, Fangio managed to win a total of five F1 Championships.
And finally, we have American driver Mario Andretti who is also known as Piedone. He is also known for his versatility as he participated in several motorsport disciplines, including sprint racing, stock car racing, dirt track racing and more. He’s got one F1 Championship on his belt.
